The Lima-Allen County Airport Runway #9 was a $2.53 million project completed in Lima, Ohio. It included adding an additional length of 1,100 feet to the main runway and taxiway to the West. Other aspects of the project included all new runway lighting, upgrades to the electrical system, additional storm drainage and extending the existing ditches, seeding and mulching of all disturbed areas and sod placed along the edges of the new runway and taxiway. Then, re-sealing the existing asphalt pavement at the site was also a big part. Finally, the project was completed with new striping and signage.
