Vine Street underpass in Lima, OH

The Vine Street Underpass project was completed in Lima, Ohio, in May 2010. This project was $7.2 million and involved the construction of a railroad bridge to carry the CSX Railroad and the Norfolk & Southern Railroads where they cross East Vine Street. During the project, we constructed two temporary shooflies for the railroads to run on while the existing tracks were removed, the excavation for the underpass was completed, and the bridge was constructed. The existing utilities were relocated and demolished. The project also included reconstruction and relocation of storm sewers, combination sewers, waterlines, existing city streets, electrical feeds, telephone service, and other existing utilities in the area.
